PRODUCT DETAILS

TECH SPECS:

The Springfield Armory Prodigy Comp 4.25 redefines the classic 1911 platform with modern performance enhancements, increased capacity, and cutting-edge features designed for today’s shooter. Built around a forged steel frame paired with a high-capacity double-stack magazine system, the Prodigy delivers an impressive 17+1 and 20+1 capacity—bringing duty-ready firepower to a time-tested design.

At the core of its performance is a 4.25” match-grade bull barrel with an integral compensator, engineered to significantly reduce muzzle rise and improve shot-to-shot recovery. The optics-ready AOS slide system comes equipped with a factory-installed Viridian® RFX11 green dot optic, featuring Instant-On® technology and an impressive 30,000-hour runtime—ensuring rapid target acquisition right out of the box.

Finished in durable Black Cerakote®, the forged carbon steel slide and frame offer long-lasting protection and rugged reliability. The polymer grip module enhances ergonomics while maintaining a solid, balanced feel. A Picatinny rail allows for seamless integration of lights and other accessories, making it ideal for duty, defense, or range use.

The Prodigy Comp 4.25 Gear Pac™ package includes four magazines—three 17-round and one 20-round—along with a premium zippered pistol case, ensuring you're fully equipped from day one.

Blending the legendary feel of a 1911 with modern capacity and performance upgrades, the Prodigy Comp 4.25 stands as a top-tier choice for shooters who demand more from their handgun.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
