PRODUCT DETAILS

TECH SPECS:

The Springfield Armory® Prodigy Comp brings a modern twist to the legendary 1911 platform, combining classic design with cutting-edge features. Built around a double-stack magazine, this pistol offers impressive capacities of 17+1 and 20+1, all housed within a forged steel frame and polymer grip module. The AOS-compatible slide and barrel assembly are integrally compensated to minimize muzzle rise for enhanced control. A Picatinny rail is also included, allowing for seamless attachment of popular accessories. The Prodigy Comp merges the timeless appeal of the 1911 with increased capacity, delivering unmatched performance and versatility.

5" BULL BARREL

The integral compensator on the Prodigy Comp is discreetly designed, featuring a single port on the top of the hammer-forged slide and barrel. By redirecting gas upwards, it reduces muzzle rise and enhances control allowing for faster and more accurate follow-up shots. Additionally, the tritium front sight is positioned behind the compensator to ensure an uninterrupted sight picture.

DOUBLE STACK DESIGN

From its flush-fitting 17-round magazine to the extended 20-rounder — both included standard with the pistol — the Prodigy Comp will never come up short on capacity.

OPTICS-READY

The Prodigy Comp employs AOS (Agency Optic System) plates that accept today’s most popular optics.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
