PRODUCT DETAILS

TECH SPECS:

The ARAD 5 from IWI (Israel Weapon Industries) represents the next evolution of the modern fighting rifle—combining battle-proven design elements with advanced engineering for superior performance, modularity, and reliability.

Built around a semi-monolithic upper receiver, the ARAD 5 delivers enhanced rigidity and accuracy while maintaining a lightweight, balanced profile. At the heart of its innovation is IWI’s patented CamLok quick-detach barrel system, allowing for simplified maintenance and increased adaptability in the field.

Powering the rifle is a 2-position short-stroke gas piston system, designed to optimize performance in both suppressed and unsuppressed configurations. This system reduces fouling in the receiver while ensuring consistent, reliable cycling under demanding conditions.

The ARAD 5 maintains full compatibility with standard AR-pattern lower components and manual of arms, making it intuitive for experienced users while offering modern upgrades. Outfitted with a 16" 4150 CMV barrel, 1/2x28 threaded muzzle, and a B5 SOPMOD stock, this rifle is built for duty, defense, and serious range use.

Finished in MIL-STD Type III hard anodizing (or optional Cerakote FDE), the ARAD 5 is a rugged, mission-ready platform designed to perform in any environment.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
