TECH SPECS:

What It Does

The Apex M&P Competition Action Enhancement Kit was designed for the action shooting sports competitor. Our drop in kit will reduce trigger weight by approximately 4.0 lbs. (based on a starting trigger pull weight of 7.0 to 8.0 lbs.) Whether the game is IDPA, USPSA or Steel Challenge, our Competition Action Enhancement Kit will withstand the rigors of high speed competition. Our competition striker spring and trigger return spring are shot peened to extend service life. The kit itself is engineered to be drop-in and should not require further gunsmithing (however, armorer or gunsmith installation is recommended). The M&P Competition Action Enhancement Kit is perfect for use with the M&P already equipped with the Apex Polymer or Aluminum Action Enhancement Trigger.

For competition use only - NOT FOR DUTY/CARRY OR SELF-DEFENSE APPLICATIONS.

Expected Results
  • Reduces over-travel
  • Smooths trigger pull
  • Reduces trigger weight by approximately 4lbs (based on a starting trigger pull weight of 7.0 to 8.0 lbs.)
Applicable To What Gun(s)
  • Works with the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm, .357SIG and .40S&W; Full Size, Compact, Long Slide and Pro Models, with or without thumb safeties and magazine disconnects.
  • Works in conjunction with the Apex Action Enhancement Polymer or Aluminum Trigger or as a stand-alone
  • Does NOT function in the M&P .45ACP or in the M&P Shield.
In The Package
  • 1 ea. Fully Machined Sear
  • 1 ea. Competition Striker Spring
  • 1 ea. Competition Spring Set (Trigger Return Spring, 1/8" Sear Spring*)
  • 1 ea. Ultimate Striker Block Kit (Striker Block, Spring and Talon Tactical Tool)
  • 1 ea. Slave pin (assists with installation of trigger return spring)
Installation Resources Notes:

*For those with a CA, MA, or other 10+ lb required trigger pull weight; due to heavier average spring rates, results are likely to be more significant, with a reduction of 6-7 lbs.

This kit REQUIRES the use of the larger 1/8 inch sear spring and plunger set up. If your M&P has a 1/16th inch diameter sear plunger and spring, we strongly advise you upgrade to a new style sear housing block before installing this product. All function and reliability testing was done with a 1/8 inch sear plunger and spring, therefore we cannot guarantee proper function without the appropriate size sear plunger and spring.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
