TECH SPECS:

When precision and speed matter, the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6x24 riflescope delivers the dependable performance serious shooters expect from a versatile low-power variable optic. Designed with features trusted by competitors and MIL/LE professionals, the Viper PST Gen II combines a true 1x low-end magnification with 6x maximum magnification, crisp turret adjustments, striking optical clarity, and an illuminated VMR-2 MRAD reticle for demanding shooting applications.

The second focal plane VMR-2 MRAD reticle features hash-marked subtension lines designed to provide useful references for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. The illuminated reticle enhances aiming visibility in low-light conditions, while the 1-6x magnification range provides flexibility for rapid target acquisition at close distances and more precise aiming at extended ranges.

Vortex's XD™ Optical System delivers impressive resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, and bright, high-contrast images while helping reduce chromatic aberration. XR™ Lens Coatings applied to all air-to-glass surfaces maximize light transmission for improved clarity and low-light performance.

Built for demanding use, the Viper PST Gen II features a rugged 30mm tube constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum for strength and rigidity. The low-glare matte black anodized finish helps resist corrosion and wear while minimizing unwanted reflections. ArmorTek® exterior lens coatings provide an ultra-hard protective barrier against scratches, oil, and dirt.

The scope is argon gas purged and O-ring sealed to provide waterproof and fogproof performance in challenging environments. Shockproof construction is designed to withstand recoil and impacts encountered during demanding shooting applications.

A fast-focus eyepiece allows for quick and easy reticle focusing, while capped turrets help protect adjustments from accidental changes. The optic provides .2 MRAD adjustment graduations, 16 MRAD of travel per rotation, and 46 MRAD of maximum elevation and windage adjustment. A 100-yard parallax setting and 3.8 inches of eye relief further enhance its versatility.

With a generous field of view ranging from 112.5 feet at 1x to 18.8 feet at 6x at 100 yards, the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6x24 is built to provide a versatile aiming solution for tactical applications, competition shooting, hunting, and precision-oriented range use.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
