TECH SPECS:

Built for hard use and extreme conditions, the Vortex Defender-ST Enclosed Solar Micro Red Dot delivers fast target acquisition, rugged durability, and reliable performance across pistols, shotguns, and carbines. Featuring a fully enclosed 7075 aluminum housing, the Defender-ST protects the emitter from moisture, dirt, debris, and impact—keeping you operational in any environment.

Designed with versatility in mind, the Defender-ST utilizes a multi-reticle system with three reticle options, including a crisp 3 MOA dot and 32 MOA circle for rapid transitions and close-range speed. Twelve brightness settings, including two night vision-compatible modes, allow shooters to quickly adapt to changing light conditions day or night.

SOLAR with Auto D-TEC Technology intelligently shifts between solar and battery power to maximize runtime, delivering up to 150,000 hours of operation with solar assist. Motion activation instantly powers the optic when movement is detected, while auto-shutoff preserves battery life during storage or transport.

A large viewing window and distortion-free aspherical lens provide a clear sight picture and rapid engagement capability. The aggressive Fast-Rack™ textured front face allows emergency slide manipulations off hard surfaces, making the Defender-ST an ideal choice for duty, defensive, competition, or field applications.

Compatible with the DeltaPoint® Pro footprint and including a Glock MOS adapter plate and Picatinny mount, the Defender-ST is ready to mount on a wide range of firearms right out of the box.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
