The Springfield Armory® Kuna™ Tri-Lug combines a roller-delayed operating system with an integrated Tri-Lug suppressor-mounting interface designed for fast, tool-free attachment and removal of compatible muzzle devices. Chambered in 9mm, the Kuna Tri-Lug delivers a compact and highly maneuverable pistol-caliber platform with a monolithic aluminum upper receiver, fully ambidextrous controls, and a purpose-built Tri-Lug barrel.
The 6-inch cold radial hammer forged barrel features a durable Melonite® finish, 1:10 twist rate, and integrated Tri-Lug interface. The Tri-Lug system uses a simple push-and-twist connection, allowing compatible suppressors and muzzle devices to be installed or removed quickly without tools and making transitions between configurations straightforward.
At the core of the Kuna is its roller-delayed operating system, which uses a locking roller to delay bolt movement. This operating system allows for a lighter design while helping reduce recoil for a smoother shooting experience.
The Kuna features a monolithic aluminum upper receiver with Type III hardcoat anodizing for durability and an integral M-Lok® handguard for compatible accessories. An integrated Picatinny rail on the receiver end plate provides an attachment point for compatible stabilizing braces.
Fully ambidextrous controls provide flexibility for a wide range of users. The Kuna also features a reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle, hybrid flip-up sights, a flat aluminum trigger, integral trigger guard, and an AR-pattern grip with Adaptive Grip Texture.
