Full-Size Modern Duty Pistol, Optic-Ready & Black Finish

The SIG M17X combines the performance legacy of the U.S. Military’s official M17/M18 sidearm with advanced features of the XSeries, now offered in an all-black variant—without a factory-mounted optic. Designed for shooters who prefer to outfit their own red dot, this model provides a perfect blank slate for customization with standard MHS footprint optics.

Key Features

  • Military-Lineage, Civilian Specs: Built on the P320-M17 platform adopted by the U.S. Armed Forces, now in a black PVD finish for civilian presentation

  • Optic-Ready Slide (No Optic): MHS-compatible slide blank, ready for SIG ROMEO-M17, Romeo-1Pro, DeltaPointPro, or similar footprint optics with rear sight integrally retained

  • XSeries Grip Module: Black X-Carry grip with extended beavertail, aggressive stippling, deeper undercuts, and integrated magazine well for fast, precise reloads

  • X Flat Blade Trigger: Enhanced tactile breakout and reset for precise shooting and improved follow-through

  • Fully Ambidextrous Controls: Including slide catch/release, magazine release, and reversible manual safety (if selected) for intuitive handling by left- or right-handed users

  • 21-Round Magazine Standard: Ships with three high-capacity 21-round steel magazines for maximum range and flexibility

Why Choose This Model

  • Build your own setup: Customize with your choice of red dot optic—unlike pre-matched optic versions, this blank slide lets you choose.

  • Full-size capability: Balanced for competition, duty, or precision practice with a high-capacity frame and responsive trigger.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
