TECH SPECS:

Built from the ground up at the SIG SAUER Research & Development Center in New Hampshire, the SIG SAUER CROSS was engineered to redefine what a lightweight, precision bolt-action rifle can do. Developed with input from hunters, military snipers, and elite long-range shooters, the CROSS combines repeatable accuracy, rugged reliability, and field-ready portability for demanding shooting environments.

This CROSS chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor features an 18-inch stainless steel barrel with a 1:8 twist rate and 5/8"-24 threading, providing an excellent platform for precision shooting and backcountry hunting applications. The one-piece receiver is designed to enhance accuracy and consistency, while the free-floating M-LOK alloy forend provides a rigid mounting platform for compatible accessories.

A folding precision adjustable stock allows the rifle to be configured for a wide range of shooters and simplifies transport and storage. The stock also helps make the CROSS exceptionally portable, with a folded length of just 28.1 inches. An AR-compatible reduced-angle grip and ambidextrous AR-style safety provide familiar controls and comfortable handling.

At the heart of the rifle is a 2-stage adjustable match trigger with a 2.5-4 lb pull weight and curved trigger shape, allowing shooters to tailor the trigger to their preferences. A 20-MOA Picatinny rail provides a solid foundation for mounting optics, while the AICS-pattern magazine system includes one 5-round polymer magazine.

With its lightweight 6.9-pound design, stainless steel barrel, adjustable folding stock, precision-focused receiver, and versatile M-LOK forend, the SIG SAUER CROSS is built for hunters and precision shooters who demand performance without unnecessary weight. The CROSS brings precision long-range capability and backcountry portability together in one highly adaptable bolt-action rifle.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
