TECH SPECS:

The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian9 is a versatile, modular suppressor engineered for 9mm pistols and compatible pistol-caliber platforms. Combining a compact profile with durable materials and adaptable configuration options, the Obsidian9 features ADAPT™ modular technology, allowing you to choose between standard and short configurations to balance suppression, length, and weight.

With a 1.37-inch diameter, the Obsidian9 is designed to accommodate compatible pistol suppressor sights, making it suitable for a variety of compatible handgun and subgun applications.

ADAPT™ Modular Technology

The Obsidian9 offers two configurations in one suppressor. The standard configuration measures 7.8 inches and weighs 12.7 ounces, while the short configuration measures 4.85 inches and weighs 8.7 ounces. This modular design provides flexibility for users who want a longer configuration or prefer reduced length and weight.

Durable Stainless Steel and Aluminum Construction

Built for demanding use, the Obsidian9 features 17-4 stainless steel baffles and a stainless steel mount, paired with a hard-coat-anodized aluminum tube. A high-temperature Cerakote® finish covers the suppressor for added surface protection.

Keyed Baffles and Serviceability

The precision-machined 17-4 stainless steel baffles incorporate three indexing tabs to help maintain proper alignment during reassembly. Their gas-sealing design helps minimize carbon buildup between the baffles and tube, supporting easier maintenance.

Non-Slotted Piston Design

The Obsidian9 uses a non-slotted piston designed to provide a full-circumference gas seal and reduce gas blowback. Its piston system is also compatible with specified slotted SilencerCo™ pistons, offering additional flexibility when selecting compatible components.

Modular Mounting and Accessory Compatibility

The stainless steel mounting system is designed with serviceability and future compatibility in mind. The Obsidian9 is compatible with select Obsidian45 accessories, including pistons, fixed mounts, fixed-barrel spacers, and three-lug mounts, subject to component and application compatibility.

What is the difference between a bolt-action rifle and a semi-automatic rifle? Answers (1)

Proven Arms & Outfitters A bolt-action rifle requires the shooter to manually operate a bolt to load a round, eject the spent casing, and chamber the next round. In contrast, a semi-automatic rifle is designed to automatically eject the spent casing and chamber a new round with each pull of the trigger. Semi-automatic rifles offer faster follow-up shots, while bolt-action rifles are typically more accurate due to their design.
